8.1.7.2 investigate the features of auditory perception and describe the rules of hearing hygiene
4. Description:
The ear is an extremely important organ of the human body responsible for auditory perception and balance. The ear device is complex and includes several key components.
The human ear consists of three main parts: the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear.
The outer ear includes the earlobe and the external auditory canal. Its main function is to collect sound waves and send them inside. The earlobe also helps protect the ear canal from external damage.
The middle ear is located behind the eardrum and includes the tympanic cavity and three bones known as the hammer, anvil and stirrup. When sound waves reach the eardrum, they cause a vibration that is transmitted through these bones to the inner ear.
The inner ear contains a hearing aid and semicircular channels responsible for balance. Inside there is a snail, which plays an important role in auditory perception. The snail contains fluid and special receptors that convert sound waves into electrical signals, which are then transmitted to the brain for further processing.
Auditory perception in humans has several interesting features. For example, we are able to perceive a wide range of sound frequencies. Ordinary human hearing is able to perceive sounds with a frequency from about 20 hertz (Hz) to 20,000 Hz. This range may vary depending on age and individual characteristics.
In addition, our hearing aid has the ability to distinguish and interpret different sound signals, allowing us to recognize speech, music and other sounds.
sound effects.
Hearing hygiene is also an important aspect of maintaining healthy ears. Here are some recommendations on this issue:
1. Gently clean the outer ear. Use a soft cloth or cotton swabs to remove excess sulfur deposits or dirt. However, be careful not to put objects in the ear canal to avoid damage to the eardrum.
2. Avoid excessive use of headphones or headphones with high volume. Prolonged listening to music or other sounds at high volume can cause hearing damage. Try to follow the recommendations on the volume level and take breaks so that your ears can rest.
3. Protect your ears from harmful noises. When working in a noisy environment or being near sources of loud sounds, use protective headphones or earplugs. This will help prevent hearing damage.
4. Visit an otorhinolaryngologist (ENT) for regular checkups and preventive measures. The doctor will be able to detect any hearing problems and give recommendations for their treatment and care.
It is important to remember that hearing health is an integral part of overall health. By following these recommendations and taking care of your ears, you can keep a good hearing and enjoy the sounds around you.
