STEAM Projects – provide students with knowledge through real-life tasks. The portal has 200+ projects, combining natural sciences, mathematics, technology, and arts. These projects help children develop critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills, while learning to apply theory in practice

Laboratory works – a set of tasks that help students master knowledge through scientific experiments. The portal includes 137 works in physics, chemistry, and biology.
These experiments develop students’ research skills, form scientific thinking, and strengthen practical abilities

Virtual simulators – a modern tool that allows students to explore complex scientific phenomena safely, through experiments in a controlled environment. On the STEAM.KZ portal there are 135 simulators for physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.

Through simulators, students can repeat experiments, learn without fear of mistakes, and gain a deeper understanding of subjects

Humanities subjects – currently being tested on the STEAM.KZ platform. Projects are being developed for history, literature, and language lessons.

Soon, teachers and students will have full access, and humanities will also be offered as engaging, practice-based lessons

STEAM PBL course – a practical program for teachers.
During the offline training, teachers master the STEAM and PBL methodology, learning to use ready-made projects and tools to conduct lessons in a practice-based format.

As a result, from the very first day, teachers can deliver meaningful and engaging lessons

Robotics Module – a section that introduces students to engineering thinking and programming.
The portal offers 3 main courses: Arduino, LEGO EV3, and SPIKE Prime.

Through these courses, students progress from simple models to building complex robots, learning to code and control them.

This module develops children’s logical thinking, creativity, teamwork skills, and prepares them to solve real-life problems

Importance of STEAM.KZ

Interest in lessons is declining

● Lessons can’t compete with TikTok.
● Students are bored, not engaged.
● Even if their bodies are in class, their minds are on their phones

21st century skills are not being formed

● Memorization instead of understanding
● Without practice → no thinking, no creativity
● 4K exists only on paper

Teachers are exhausted and drained

● Teachers have to design lessons themselves
● Most of the time is spent on reporting, not students
● Lessons are reduced to theory only for grading

STEAM.KZ Pilot Testing

In 2022, the STEAM.KZ team conducted a study in four innovative schools of the BINOM network in Astana. More than 20,000 students and 150 teachers took part. The aim of the study was to determine the impact of practice-based learning on students’ interest, skill development, and attitude toward subjects:
0 %

students became more actively engaged in lessons

0 %

improvement in students’ critical and practical thinking

0 %

teachers noted increased interest in subjects

0 %

positive effect on decision-making skills
