STEAM Projects – provide students with knowledge through real-life tasks. The portal has 200+ projects, combining natural sciences, mathematics, technology, and arts. These projects help children develop critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills, while learning to apply theory in practice
Virtual simulators – a modern tool that allows students to explore complex scientific phenomena safely, through experiments in a controlled environment. On the STEAM.KZ portal there are 135 simulators for physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
Through simulators, students can repeat experiments, learn without fear of mistakes, and gain a deeper understanding of subjects
STEAM PBL course – a practical program for teachers.
During the offline training, teachers master the STEAM and PBL methodology, learning to use ready-made projects and tools to conduct lessons in a practice-based format.
As a result, from the very first day, teachers can deliver meaningful and engaging lessons
Robotics Module – a section that introduces students to engineering thinking and programming.
The portal offers 3 main courses: Arduino, LEGO EV3, and SPIKE Prime.
Through these courses, students progress from simple models to building complex robots, learning to code and control them.
This module develops children’s logical thinking, creativity, teamwork skills, and prepares them to solve real-life problems
Importance of STEAM.KZ
Interest in lessons is declining
● Lessons can’t compete with TikTok.
● Students are bored, not engaged.
● Even if their bodies are in class, their minds are on their phones
21st century skills are not being formed
● Memorization instead of understanding
● Without practice → no thinking, no creativity
● 4K exists only on paper
Teachers are exhausted and drained
● Teachers have to design lessons themselves
● Most of the time is spent on reporting, not students
● Lessons are reduced to theory only for grading
STEAM.KZ — not “innovation”, but science in action
Based on proven methodologies
PBL (Project-Based Learning)
Solving real-life tasks → deep understanding and motivation
Every lesson is a project: a real-life problem + teamwork
STEAM Methodology
Integration of science and art → connection between knowledge and real life
One project = biology + physics + technology + mathematics
21st Century 4C Skills
Essential skills are developed through teamwork, reflection, and presentation
Result: graduates can work effectively with people and tasks
State Standards are mastered more deeply
STEAM projects — a conscious way to master standards
Lesson = experience, result = understanding, not rote memorization
Support of Leading Pedagogical Systems
Zone of proximal development: a student grows through teamwork
Work in small groups and roles — a direct application of his approach
STEAM lessons cover all levels:
Understanding → Application → Analysis → Synthesis → Evaluation
Each project moves from knowledge to meaningful activity
Goals, success criteria, feedback (Marzano)
Team roles, structured interaction (Kagan)
Structure of a STEAM PBL Lesson
Real-life problem
Presenting a real-world issue that increases students’ interest
Defining the Objective
Determine the main goal of the lesson to solve this problem
Hands-on work
Students apply their knowledge through practical actions
Group work and creativity
Collaboration, idea sharing, and finding creative solutions
Presenting results
A group or individual student presents and defends their project/solution in front of the class
Reflection and Conclusion
Analyzing the work, reviewing the experience gained from the lesson, and drawing conclusions
With this structure, you too can conduct your lessons in an engaging, practice-based STEAM PBL approach!
