Week 2

Connection of wires and parts.

Step 1.

  • Shorten the straw (tube) by 1.5 cm on both sides.
  • Connect the straw and silicone hose using hot glue gun
  • Attach the other end of the silicone hose to the submersible pump

Step 2.

Cut off the top of the 0.5L bottle and glue in the area shown in the picture using a hot glue gun

Step 3.

Make a 1 cm x 1.5 cm hole in the middle of the top of the box as shown in the picture.

Step 4.

Place the pump in the bottle and glue the silicone hose and straw to the frame of the sanitizer as shown in the picture below. Use hot glue gun to glue parts.

Step 5.

Connect the IR (infrared) sensor, relay, submersible pump, breadboard and battery box using the diagram shown in the figure.

Step 6.

Use a pen to make two holes next to the fluid outlet. Attach the IR sensor diodes into the holes made as shown in the figure.

Install the assembled circuit into the body of the sanitizer using electrical tape and thermoplastic glue.

Step 7.

Cut out the bottom of the plastic dish and place it in the area indicated in the picture.
