The theoretical part
Sign language is a visual language in which you can communicate as fully and effectively as in oral. It has its own peculiarities in different countries and cultures. They even write poems and sing songs in this language. It has a diverse vocabulary, its own grammar and syntax.
Sign languages are completely independent of spoken languages, and they continue to evolve. Over time, new gestures appear, old ones fall out of use and often this is not related to the development of oral languages. The number of sign languages in a country does not depend on the number of spoken languages in it. Even in one country where several spoken languages are spoken, there may be one common sign language, while in some countries there may be several sign languages and speak one spoken language.
There are more than 120 sign languages in the world. They are all different from each other. For example, even in English-speaking countries, hearing impaired people from the United States may not understand British sign language. In addition, they even have their own dialects.
In many European countries, sign languages are recognized as official state languages. They are necessarily studied by police officers, social workers and teachers.
The first electronic dictionary of the Kazakh sign language – surdo.kz . The dictionary contains more than two thousand video files with a set of keywords for everyday communication. They have a basic set of words, a set of fairy tales, proverbs and sayings. The authors also included a sign translation of the anthem of Kazakhstan in the dictionary.
The dactylation of letters is used in sign languages mainly to designate unique names, geographical names, as well as specific terms borrowed from oral languages. This is the display of individual letters of the alphabet using gestures. This is usually great for initial sign language learning. And in principle, they do not communicate with dactyls, but communicate with gestures.
