Lesson 3

Let’s play MONOPOLY. 

  1. Divide into teams.
  2. Learn the rules.
  3. Try to devote about 20-30 minutes to this game (since lessons are time limited)
  4. Determine the winners of each team.

Project Presentation

This week students are to present their finished project on the items below:

A report/presentation of each student’s monthly income in the form of a chart or graphs. For example, in which area you have more expenses and income, etc. (you do not have to read out the total)
Analysis. A plan to optimize the overall budget. A financial plan. 
Monopoly game. Determination of winners for each team. Winners are encouraged to share experiences and skills that helped them achieve victory in the game.

Problem based learning is a method of learning in which students acquire knowledge and skills by working on a single project over a 3- or 4-week period to investigate and find the answer to a genuine, interesting and challenging question, problem or challenge (further go to PBL Rubrics ).
