Theoretical part
Plants release many organic and mineral substances into the environment during their life. Water evaporation through leaves is one of them. This process is called transpiration.
Practical part
Let’s do an experiment and observe how plants excrete water. Prepare all the necessary materials

Step 1. Make a hole with a diameter of 1-2 cm in the center of the cardboard.

Step 2. Pass the stem through the hole so that the cardboard separates the leafy part from the root system.

Step 3. Attach the stem with plasticine to bring it into a stationary position.

Step 4. Apply petroleum jelly to the sides of two glasses.

Step 5. Fill a glass with water and place the shoot in the water. Make sure the roots are fully submerged in water.

Step 6. Cover the top of the plant with a second glass. Both glasses must be sealed.

Step 7. Leave the plant under the sunlight or a table lamp for 30 minutes (for an hour if necessary).

Once the time is up, record the observed changes on your worksheet. Summarize the work.
Conclusion
During this laboratory work, students explored the process of water release by plants and their impact on the environment. The experiment allowed students to better understand the role of transpiration in the life of plants and its importance for maintaining their life. These observations can be useful for a deeper understanding of the physiological processes in plants and their impact on the environment.
