Week 2
Cut 3.5 cm pieces from a round wooden skewer and pass them through the holes in the circles of their cardboard

You should have a part like the one in the picture

Cut out a piece of plastic tubing and place it over the area shown in the picture

Slide the piece onto the original cardboard model

Cut out 5 circles from cardboard with a radius of 2 cm. Cover them with a piece of coloured cardboard 1 cm wide.

Glue the obtained circles to the round wooden skewers.

Divide the width of the top of the basic layout into 2 equal parts and draw a line in the middle. Divide this line into 6 equal parts and make holes at the intersections with a pencil.

Pass wooden skewers with circles through the holes and glue them in the areas shown in the picture. Use thermoplastic glue (only the teacher uses thermoplastic glue).

Decorate the top of the circles with coloured cardboard details.

Twist the round skewer to make the caterpillar move

Conclusion
Students have learned to analyse the object and its structure, and to improve their skills in working with cardboard through the construction of a model to describe the movement of a caterpillar. It is recommended to think about improving the design of the layout.
