Week 2

Stage 2.

1. Give each group of students two sheets of A4 paper. Ask students to draw circles on the sheets using a pencil. Circles must be drawn over the entire width of A4 sheet.

2. It is necessary to cut out the resulting circles.

3. Glue the parts to each other with paper glue as shown in the figure below (you should get an illustration of the intersection of sets) *

4. Circle (paint over) the edges of the second circle located under the first circle *

5. Write the word “Earth” on the left circle and the word “Water” on the right circle*

6. Use colored pencils to color the left and right sides of the part in brown and blue, respectively. Leave the middle of the part colorless (not shaded)*

*these activities must be completed by students

7. Tell the students:

Think about which way you can put the animals you have drawn?

At the next stage, students need to glue the drawn animals using paper glue in the appropriate direction:

  • on the side of the earth if the animal lives on land
  • on the side of the water if the animal lives in the water
  • in the middle if the animal can move freely on land and under water

Conclusion

On this project, students learned about land and water animals. Also, students learned to divide objects into groups.
