The Length of a Circle

Through this project, students will experimentally explore the length of a circle. By cutting the circle into parts and rearranging it into a rectangle, they will observe the relationship between the circle’s length and its radius. Measurement is carried out using a string.

  • Colored cardboard - 3 sheets
  • Corrugated cardboard - 45*20 cm
  • String
  • Push pin or brads
  • Scissors, ruler, marker, adhesive tape
