Strawberry DNA extraction
In this project, students will step into the world of molecular biology by conducting a fun experiment to extract DNA from ordinary strawberries!
- dishwashing gel - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tbsp
- water - ¼ cup
- ripped strawberries - 2 pcs
- isopropyl /ethyl alcohol - 1 tsp
- mortar and pestle/zip-lock package
- glass - 2 pcs
- tweezers - 1 pc
- syringe 20 ml - 1 pc (optional)
- filter paper - 1 pc
- funnel - 1 pc (optional)
